Alison Osborne

Working as a communicator in Canada’s health and research sectors for the past 15 years, Alison is drawn to the challenges and rewards of achieving understanding, buy-in and positive action in these complex, multi stakeholder environments. A skilled communications strategist, she also has a special talent for conveying complex scientific information in ways that are creative, compelling and clear.

Alison Osborne Communications & Writing

Alison was previously Director of Communications at the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, where she developed and oversaw MSFHR’s communications strategy and activities, including an award-winning publication and complex media events involving academic and health partner organizations and government. Alison also spent several years as a senior communicator at the BC Research Institute for Children’s & Women’s Health (now the Child & Family Research Institute) and at Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC.

Alison holds a BA in French Literature and English from Simon Fraser University and graduated at the top of her class from the Public Relations program at Kwantlen University College.
